Disc feeder is the traditional continuous feeding device for feeding various non-viscous materials. It is widely applied in ore dressing plant, smelting plant, cement plant, placer, mechanized foundry, etc. Suspended on the steel structural parts, disk feeder is usually installed below the hopper for continuous feeding.

Working Principle

Bulk materials enter into the cylinder from the hopper and accumulate on the disk by its own weight. The clearance between sleeve and disc is adjusted by adjusting bolts to control the natural heap angle of materials on the disk. When the disc rotates, the materials are evenly scraped off the disc and enter into the accepted hopper by unloading knife. With the continuous rotation of the disk, the materials are fed evenly. Feeding capacity is regulated through adjusting the gap between discharging knife and disc.
