The ceramic vacuum filter is extensively used in mining industry to separate liquid and solid for dewatering purposes. The operation and construction principle is similar to conventional disc filter except the filter medium is replaced by finely porous ceramic discs, providing good resistance to almost all chemicals and having a long operational life. Ceramic vacuum filter is widely applied for dehydration of ore concentrate, tailings, chemical industry oxide, electrolytic residue, leaching residues and slag, and waste acid treatment of sewage and sludge for environmental protection. The fineness of applicable materials ranges from 200 mesh to 450 mesh.

Structure
Pulp absorbing area: filter plate submerged in the pulp when working integrates with vacuum pressure under the effect of capillary action, producing a surface absorption of filter cake. Filter liquor enters into distribution valve and liquor drainage tank through filter plate.
Spraying area: filter cake receive spray washing after discharged from slurry hopper.
Drying area: continuous dehydration of filter cake under the action of high vacuum force.
Discharging area: scraper will discharge materials automatically once entering the condition without vacuum.
Back flushing area: industrial water or filter liquor enter into the ceramic plate through distribution valve to clean from inside to outside. Ceramic plate needs to be cleaned with ultrasonic wave and low density acid after working one period to maintain the efficient service life of ceramic plate.
